After a long and thoughtful hour spent purposely picking out needed items at the local grocery store, you arrive at the tills only to find that you do not have the needed amount of money on you. But if you pay off your credit card promptly at regular intervals, you will like receive an extension on your credit limit and therefore be able to buy more.

Credit cards are also invaluable in this modern age of technology because they allow you to make purchases online with relative safety. Because your credit card is not linked to your savings account, your own personal money is inaccessible to unscrupulous people who would like nothing better than to clean out your account. There are many other things that may appeal to you such as the advantages of student credit cards which may make you want to apply for a credit card.
